Overview

Makalu is the 5th highest mountain in the world; it is situated between the Everest and Kanchanjanga mountain range. Many people visit this place every year as this is the pilgrimage site for Hindy as the visit Barun Lake situated at bottom of Makalu Mountain. As we take a further step from Tumlingtar we have to pass through Sherpa village where their culture, lifestyle and their hospitality can be observed.  On the way to base camp from Koma-La pass, you will view Everest and Makalu and many other beautiful types of scenery. Once we reach Yangri Kharka you will view different mountains every day.
